The burner-fired steam superheater increases the temperature of saturated steam by means of thermal energy supplied by a gas or diesel burner. The treated steam may come either from an external steam generator or from a steam distribution network.
During the design phase, fundamental parameters are taken into consideration, such as operating pressure, final temperature, flow rate, and steam superheating degree (steam quality) at both inlet and outlet.
